A Mission in Los Patos

Bridging faith and work

In April 2019, Molior set out to start the first Business as Missions (BAM) initiative in Los Patos, Dominican Republic. In November 2018, during a four-day visit to Milan, Italy, Molior's team purchased two pizza ovens and drew inspiration from Marghe Pizza, one of the city’s top-rated pizzerias. This research laid the groundwork for A La Pizza combining authentic, high-quality pizza with a mission-driven purpose. A La Pizza launched in the popular tourist spot of the Los Patos river during Semana Santa (Holy Week). More than just a restaurant A La Pizza isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a unique blend of enterprise and evangelism—a church disguised as a pizza parlor. Its vision is simple yet profound: share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in unconventional settings, provide meaningful employment for local youth and create a space for community connection.

A La Pizza exemplifies how faith and entrepreneurship can work together to uplift communities. As Molior expands its reach, the mission remains clear: glorify God, equip entrepreneurs, and transform lives through opportunities for spiritual and economic growth.

Impact that transcends numbers.

The results speak volumes. During the first summer, youth employees led people to Christ, witnessed to countless tourists and prayed over many, all while serving great metropolitan-style pizza. Along with delicious food, A La Pizza creates jobs for youth, fosters a strong work ethic and builds a thriving community of believers. In June 2019, a second location was added creating more opportunities.

The ongoing need for spiritual guidance.

Most people have heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ, many believe, and a few even quote scripture and share testimonies. However, the vast majority still need to be discipled and supported spiritually to deepen their faith and navigate daily challenges. The team remains committed to blending prayer, work and service, while sharing Christ’s love in tangible, practical ways that inspire growth.
